Cover pic of Coming In To Land
« on: March 16, 2014, 10:05:43 PM »
Which artist painted the cover of the album ? It's obviously 'Orpheus charming the animals' BUT WHO PAINTED IT ? I've been googling away for flippin' ages, but no luck.

Unlike with the previous studio album (ITAOME 2008, which also had a painting on the cover), with CITL sadly the painting/artist is not named in the booklet.  :(
But you already know more than me, as you got the name of the painting!  8)

There are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of different artist's impressions of the same scene.

But, as you say, impossible to track down the specific artist for this version.

Maybe best to ask TV.

Yeah! Fred has found it! Well done!   8)
Those birds immediately looked familiar to me and when comparing it, it's obviously the same.

Well bugger me!

I never expected such an honour...

I'd like to accept this award on behalf of ALL the TUTS, my family and friends and of course my dear wife without whom I'd never have had the strength to complete the search. (Soundtrack available on Boss Tuneage Records and all good record stores).

Do I also win this week's sarcastic bastard award?
