I'm on BBC 6Music on Wednesday
« on: March 24, 2014, 08:10:58 PM »
Erm...yeah.

In a moment of boredom, whilst trying to nab a couple of free tickets to see The Pixies at the Beeb, I clicked on a link that gets you on a slot on BBC stalwart Steve Lamaqc's show. Safe in the knowledge that a. I never get picked out the hat for nothing and b Even if I did, it wouldn't come up before about December 2063.

So...imagine my surprise to receive a BBC email asking me to come on this Wednesday!

The upshot of it all is this: if listening to me revealing my musical upbringing on national radio is of any appeal, tune in at about 4.45pm this Wednesday. Or catch up later with the iPlayer thingy.

I'm a bit edgy :(

Let us know afterwards if it was any good, then we might listen.  ;)

I haven't heard this show before, but I hope that it goes well for you and that you enjoy it!

Hmmm... I wonder if Timothy Smith Esquire and Wire will get a mention?

Think that several Smiths will get a mention.

Dunno whether I'll get the time to slip Wire into the mix

You can ask him why he has not played any Stone heroes tracks yet? - (he says in a shameless self promotion type manner)  ;)
www.reverbnation.com/stoneheroes ...still no1 in the London and Uk reverbnation punk chart !

seriously though - have fun with your '15 mins  of fame' - I am sure the Phobics will get a mention! :)

will listen in

It'll be on it sometime soon, Chris. I'll see if I can find a link.

Was quite happy with it,  although I didn't get the chance to talk about half the stuff I'd planned to mention. Even got to chat to Lamacq off air for about 5 mins, too. He's alright :)

I'll erm, stick with me own thanks, Fred.

It's spelt 'Shayne' anyway, which would probably put you off ;)
