No problem.

He's a bandwagon-jumping, all-things-to-all-men-so-long-as-there's-a-buck-in-it, card throwing/eye hitting twat.

Not unless it's possible to be both a twat and a knob simultaneously!

If you can use the "search" function, EKTaff, you can try and search for "The Alarm" and/or "Mike Peters", you'll find lots of old posts about him (mostly raving comments from Tj and moaning comments from Fred).  (I can't use search, unless I'm offline...  ::) )
Ten years ago The Alarm played in Stuttgart and I went, it wasn't bad at all. They released a few more albums since then, but I didn't get them and also the touring never came close anymore.  :-\

More info can be found here:

Quote
Mike Peters is known primarily as frontman of the internationally acclaimed Welsh band The Alarm. Mike is also an inspirational solo acoustic performer and (as a two times cancer survivor), founder of what is now regarded as the world’s leading rock and roll cancer charity ‘Love Hope Strength Foundation’.

P.S.: Here is a typical thread:

Also, I'd forgotten I'd seen the Alarm again in 2009, supporting The Damned!

Thanks all.

I saw him in Milan in 2003, he did a free gig in a shopping arcade prior to the play-off match between Italy & Wales.  It was the best part of the day as during the match we were subjected to all sorts of abuse from the "hosts"...  Abuse such has being Pist on from the upper balcony of the stadium. Being showered with Mobile Phones (which had had the innards removed and replace with concrete). and then the police would not let us out of the ground until the last tram had gone, so we all had to walk back into the city..   Still that did give us a chance to have a few words with some of the locals who wanted to "chat" about the game......

Mike's a genuine bloke who loves music and his fans. Ask TV. He's been on tour with him.

From what I recall Fred was hit in the eye by a flying card during Where We're You Hiding When The Storm Broke live.

Fred wasn't too impressed by being given a Mike Peters pencil as compensation.

Brilliant, you couldn't make that up, huh?  ;D

Fred's been so quiet, is he away on holidays?

I'm just back from holiday.

It was interesting to see Fred and Mike sharing a pint of Old Twig Juice in The Old Green Tree in Bath. :o

So Fred was on holiday too? I'd already suspected that he followed Mike Peters around on tour...  ;)

Must have been a bloody long holiday! Sorry for the delay.

No, I don't like his music either. I've never liked Th* *l*rm since I first saw them supporting SLF at their "farewell" gig at the old Glasgow Apollo when they split up (the first time).

Th* *l*rm/M*k* P*t*rs "songs" also used to pollute Dead Men Walking shows when the rest of them used to be good - and the "new" DMW stuff is just awful. I've said it before and I'll say it again:

Oh Captain!

Oh Jim!

What were you thinking?!

Once again, I DO apologise for the length of time it's taken me to slag that twat/knob (see above) off!

Oh, that goes to show he's not THAT important to you.  ;)

But one thing I'd like to know: were you really drinking a pint with him?
(Well I won't believe it was a twig juice...)
