TV on the radio
« on: February 28, 2015, 07:43:47 PM »
There's bound to be a thread for this sort of thing somewhere here but...it was a nice, unexpected start to Steve Lamaqc's 6Music radio show on Wednesday, followed by a plug for TV, his lyrics and this weekend's gigs.

Amazed that this hasn't been mentioned here, or apologetic if it already has elsewhere:

I guess that F*c*b**k reigns supreme these days as it's the first I've heard of it too!

Yeah - I wanted to share it, but then got too busy, sorry.

Nice as it is that TV gets this kind of attention, I somehow wish it would be about a new album.
"I Delete" should've been in a radio special!

That made a nice change on a Wednesday evening.

Should have let Tim play something new though.

In fairness, he has done so previously and this was a "classic album" interview.

Switched Iggy's 6Music prog on tonight during a brief bathroom visit and was pleasantly surprised to hear him kick tonight's show off with the Peel session 'GGE' from way back when  :)

In fact, although Mr Osterberg was very laconic in his praise of The Adverts ("...back in the day, somewhere around 54AD, The Adverts opened for me...") he drawled fair appreciation for their energy then and Gaye's determination not to use her sexuality to further the band's cause, mentioning the bits of gaffer tape on her bass to show her where A, E and C were to avoid having to bother learning.

Little things like this lighten my day...

Tom Robinson Show on 6 music last night around 1925hrs..

Celebrating 40 years since "Bollocks".   OCW and then a short piece either side of the news about TV.
