hi all-markus your site is very interesting.Mrs F yes,you have hit the nail on the head,most people spend their lives talking about trivial matters-i.e. shit.who is going out with who,who isnt,did you watch eastenders last night,bollocks like that.Most people are like human sheep or cattle(no offence to any sheep or cows reading this site,just a metaphore),they wander around through this huge open field called life,know nothing,and never will.Zombies(as in braindead things) yes they exist,a great majority live next door to you and me,at least with a elevision you can switch it off,in their case,it was never switched on in the first place....Politicians?-in a real world they are voted into power to do a job,so should do everything they are asked to do,what we want,that is their job,or should be.
The major problem with such as we,is the fact that unity is strength,if all likeminded people in the world were in contact with each other we could eradicate these lunatics in power.After all there are more of us than them. hippie dd

Yeah, Hippiedave, if more people stand together they will realise they can't go on like this forever, e.g. starting a war when the majority of the country is against it. Through the internet you can find likeminded people, that's a good thing about it, many peace actions were planned through the internet.
I agree it will be depressing if this war's starting soon. (Especially for the Brits, as their country will be part of it.)
But on the other hand, don't let it get you down too much. There are wars all over the planet every day, some surely with participation of our countries in one way or another (money, weapons etc.). So in a realistic view we would have to be depressed every single day of our life! But that's not the point, we should be happy if we are alive and can have a nice day, if there's things we can't change (yet) we shouldn't let that get too close to us...
Life must go on, let us try and make the best out of our day! Let's help the people close to us if we can, because our "everyday life" is where we stand and there we can make a difference.

Markus, you're right, it's probably better to keep away from newspapers etc., as all of this will be depressing news and you can't even be sure what's true, as in times of war there will be lots of censorship.

uli-was not sure how to take your comment regarding telling people not to believe what they see on the news?.I meant that much of what we see in newspapers is propaganda,and you cannot always believe what you see on tv-look at computerised graphics in films,it could be done. hdd

Hippiedave, I know what you mean. Pics can be easily manipulated by computers etc.
What I meant with my comment was that a few people here around me will be moaning about what they see on telly from the war and I will have to tell them once more that not everything reported there would be the truth...
I know this sounds terrible now, but not all the people I know are very intelligent, if you know what I mean. There are a few who don't read newspapers (or just the tabloids) and get all their info from television. And sometimes I just have to tell them that they shouldn't believe it all.
