Maggie May's "government" in freefall now. When they release tomorrow's election results on Sunday she'll have to go - if she's still in post by then!

Whoever gets the job can't do much since MP's positions are now so entrenched. We urgently need either a general election or a second referendum to make any genuine progress. If not, we'll probably just crash out without a deal.

This scenario seems most likely since why the hell would the EU agree to changes for another PM that they wouldn't agree for Maggie May? Additionally, why would they want to put up with Nigel Garage-band's moaning MEP's? They look set to win several seats (at least!) that they don't even want and will just do their best to be disruptive if they do take them up.

HELP!

OK, so as of today, Maggie May is still in charge of the country, but not her own party!

How CRAZY is our political system?

How CRAZY is our political system?

Is it so see-through?
Maybe the "newshound" who told us about "No Control" was right about the Great British Mistake...
You'll need a strong horse to pull the carriage out of this rut...
Are you second class citizens, who'll be buried by the machine instead of visiting Eurodisneyland tomorrow?
What was the last true thing you heard? The future used to be better?
I know what you want: a ticket out of here...

Well said Sir!

This couldn't have been expressed any better than you have done - with a little inspiration from a wordsmith perhaps?  ;)

Nice...

https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-49594793
Quote
Jo Johnson, younger brother of Prime Minister Boris Johnson, is quitting as a Conservative MP and minister, saying he is "torn between family loyalty and the national interest".

The business minister and MP for Orpington, tweeted that there was an "unresolvable tension" in his role.

Mr Johnson voted Remain in the 2016 EU membership referendum.

He resigned as a minister under Theresa May last year in opposition to the Brexit deal she reached with Brussels.

But he re-entered government during the summer, after Conservative Party members elected his brother as leader.
