Well I`m back from Rebellion, great to see Phil, GJ, Peter and my new German friend Boris ! Great Acoustic set from TV on Friday, loads of new songs and a mention of possibly a new album next year. Really glad they put TV and the band in the Opera House on Friday night the acoustics in there are brilliant compared to the ballroom.

Iíve posted a picture of TV Smith here as I had the good fortune to play with Tim and Thomas Schneider (the photo on the right was a classic ' Quo ' moment )the day before and going into , my birthday . Thomas was amazing as always and we drove up in the car with Laura and Thea on the day to play the Wacken metal festival . Iíll try to keep this short but we had a great time despite the cold , rain and mud and the er ... metal  :-) . Tim on the other hand made the Herculean task of playing 3 Rebellion shows then getting up at 5 in the morning , catching the train to London , then another to Heathrow , a flight to Hamburg ( delayed ) and then hopping the shuttle to Wacken . We thought he wouldnít make it , but there he was , 10 mins before showtime with a smiling Ď whatchya Vom Ď . This man can move mountains , and he does . It was indeed an honor to play this show with Tim and Thomas and it made my birthday weekend . Tim then had to set off after breakfast with the lovely Sally to get all the way back to Devon .

Atilla's 60th Birthday,  T.V. is playing accordion for Atilla..

Maybe I got that wrong (bit deaf after last night's punk gig), but that should be interesting!  ;D  ;)

Apparently, Tim playing accordion HAS been suggested, but he keeps changing his mind about doing it:

He's in, and out, and in, and out, and in, and out...

Treatment from British Airways reached a new low yesterday. After three great gigs in Germany I flew back from Stuttgart airport and encountered a BA employee called Mr Caruso who took an instant dislike to me and decided to try and stop me taking my guitar on board. My partner and I had no other hand luggage, the guitar fits easily into the overhead lockers and takes up less space than two carry-on bags. When I explained this and insisted I wanted to take it with me to the plane and let the on-board crew decide, Mr Caruso called the police in, and said he wasn't going to let me fly. When I - politely - asked him to justify this, he then told me he could smell alcohol on my breath. The only thing that had passed my lips all day was water and two cups of coffee. The end result was that the rest of the plane boarded past me and my partner flanked by two burly armed policemen. For no other reason than the fact I wanted to take my guitar with me on the plane I was publicly humiliated, intimidated, accused of being a drunk, and treated as a criminal in front of all the other passengers. Eventually I was led down to the plane by a member of the ground crew, and the on-board BA staff were absolutely lovely and only too happy to find a place to tuck away the guitar - as usual. But any musicians travelling through Stuttgart airport on BA - beware. You may encounter the charming Mr Caruso, who should never be dealing with the public, and in my opinion should be relieved of his job before he causes any more distress to innocent passengers and does the reputation of the company he works for any more damage.

Sadly, I did not know of any gigs near Stuttgart (?), possibly "secret/private shows" or he just flew back from Stuttgart despite the gigs not being nearby...  ???
Needless to say: don't fly with BA from Stuttgart.  >:(

Trust Mr Caruso to turn a simple flight into a soap opera - what a diva!
