DTH Learning English Lesson 2
« on: April 06, 2017, 10:09:13 AM »
As most of you will remember, many years ago TV featured on Die Toten Hosen's cover album "Learning English Lesson 1" (released in 1991). Only about 25 years later, DTH decided to record "lesson 2", again with many guests (mostly members of the bands who recorded the originals). It will be a bonus disc to their new album "Laune der Natur". Featured are quite a lot of songs/bands which somehow were "missed" on the first one... Some really good choices!

The old "bonus disc" trick 'eh? How record sales have dropped off in the age of Spotify.

All down to the "Laune der Natur" of the record buying public!

DTH are probably one of the bands who actually receive money through Spotify (like 5 Euro for 1 million plays)...  ::)

All down to the "Laune der Natur" of the record buying public!

Your German is becoming better and better. Seriously, when will you be coming over?

I've listened to this a few times now; it's about as good as the first one!  8)

Difference is: back in '91 I hadn't seen (or even heard of) some of those bands. Now it is striking me that over the last few years I got to see: Ruts DC, The Members, Hugh Cornwell, Slaughter & the Dogs, Johnny Moped, Spizz...  :)
