We'll another cracking night watching T.V.  A 6 hour journey involving trains, tube, bus and taxi found your scribe at The Highwayman in Sourton and what a venue.. quirky is a understatement, but after a tour by Sally a short walk with Alan Grundy (no relation to Bill) down the nearby disused railway line an adjournment to one of the many bars in time for Atilla's poetry set. TV's turn next and the new album was played in its entirety, so all the new songs have been heard by Tuts.. Barnstormer 1649 rounded off the evening, with an excellent set. Much (too much) supping followed, before retiring around 2.30!!!! So the set list was..no control, we stand alone, green zone, never again, keys, satellites, no hope St, lost sheep, sunny side, file it, written, overdose.   Also in attendance was a former member of cheap, I will credit him when I remember his name....   A great night/morning, here's to the next one!!!

Do I need to guess what you're going to play? Could it be something you got yesterday? Played mine on the trip home after the gig this morning!

Vastavirta - Tampere, Finland - 22 Sep 2018

TV already has an established fan club here, judging by the audience and the enthusiastic reaction to his songs. Previous years' touring with Punk Lurex has clearly had an effect. Vastavirta is a truly fantastic venue, plenty of standing room and enough seating for those who want to stay back a little (and still have a great view). Probably 150+ of an audience, but I think I was the only Scotsman.

First on about 10pm were a reasonable covers band, followed by Punk Lurex, who were excellent.

TV came on at midnight and played the following over the next 80 minutes:

Only One Flavour
21
No Control
Keys To the World
What If?
Replay
I Delete
Lion & the lamb
We Stand Alone
TV's Over
Never Again Until the Next Time
Expensive Being Poor
Immortal Rich
No Hope Street
Last Lost Sheep
Runaway Train Driver
My String Will Snap
Generation Y
Land Of the Overdose
[on the remaining songs he was accompanied by Punk Lurex]
GGE
Bored Teenagers
1 Chord Wonders
[encore] The Future Used To Be Better

Was a privilege to be there. The sound quality was exceptional too (or maybe that was just me being impressed by the venue, or the beer).

The venue remained open until something like 4 or 5am, but I left around 3.30 (and, 3 days later, I am just about recovered enough to post this).
