Talking to my relatives in the NHS, I fear that this may be a lot further away than the optimistic three months people seem to think will be required. I hope not, but the UK figures are seriously underrepresenting the real situation due to lack of testing.

At least I hope that the published figures are wildly inaccurate. If they are correct, coronavirus is killing ~5% of the people contracting it in the UK (22/3/20: 281 deaths/5,683 cases = 4.94%. Figures from https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-the-public). To put that into perspective, seasonal flu typically kills ~0.1% of those that contract it, although for some strains that figure can rise to ~2%.

Take care and stay safe everyone.

And to you & yours Fred.

With the re-scheduled SLF dates announced and the majority of us with more time on their hands, I thought I'd share these from the last date before lockdown. To get the full effect, queue for about 15 minutes if you need to go to the toilet/get a drink and play about half an hour of 60's/70's/80's television theme tunes before the SLF set!

I've not shared anything from OneDrive on the forum before so I hope this works - I'll keep the links active for about a week.

Maybe, just maybe from June onwards. Even then, I'm not sure whether I wanna go.
As of now, bars & clubs are still closed (at least until May 3rd).

("Distance" would be ok though, I hated it when gigs were too crowded and I had the elbow of a stranger in my side...)

Now that the gig list is decimated on the front page, I have put the cancelled gigs in the archive list and will do so "after the date",

There are a few gigs scheduled and these have been shown elsewhere (SLF etc), but obviously likely to be rescheduled unless.....

We who wait!!

Die Toten Hosen have cancelled their whole "Ohne Strom" Tour (which was re-scheduled for 2021).
(TV was supposed to play support for some shows in 2020, I guess this would've been still the plan for 2021.)

Quote

"The musicians have completely canceled their "Everything without electricity" tour. It is now clear that rescheduling the 2021 tour will fail due to organizational reasons, the band announced on Wednesday in Düsseldorf. We checked all options. We are very disappointed with this finding," said the band. The tour was originally scheduled to take place this year, but was postponed to 2021 due to the corona pandemic."

An acoustic tour? Where the hell did they get that idea from?!

Well they did it before (I think?)... now there was gonna be a "big band" (? maybe an orchestra?), I suppose it was difficult re-scheduling with all those musicians (possibly active in other projects).

I guess there will be no gigs anytime this year

As i know the "Die Ärzte" (germanys another big band) is gonna be canceled soon too.

Even small Gigs will be Impossible because "1,5 meters between people" those would be GIgs with like 5 people

Things have changed since 22nd March:

Using the most recent data (same source - https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-the-public) the latest figures [for 28/6/20] are:

43,575 Deaths / 311,965 Positive Results = 13.97%.

The longer people fail to take this VERY seriously, the longer the precautionary measures will be in place and the greater the number of deaths.

STAY SAFE FOLKS!
