Are you thinking of The World's End distillery and market off of the King's Road? Used to be a pub iirc.

That was where I thought, it had a clock on the face which went backwards...
Are you sure you hadn't drunk too much and it just seemed like the clock was going backwards?!  ;)

Been listening to The Oh-Sees/Osees a lot. Garage punk/pysche is good fun and I'm a sucker for 2 drum lineups. Also Girl In Synthesis and Dry Cleaning. Scratchy, angular pop/punk is also good.

Well done your boys, Phil. It was great to watch as a semi-neutral.

Hadn't Turkey watched the previous corner kick?!  :D

Skin from Skunk Anansie gets an OBE. Surprising choice?
Certainly not for services to music.

They played the Fordham Park Festival in the 90's and are the only band I ever saw there that got booed and pelted with mud.

Dreadful.

Something I shall seriously consider. Thanks Uli :)

I've severed my Spotify account because they blatantly rip off almost everyone on it and am within an ace of kicking YouTube to the kerb too.

I appreciate that advertising money keeps a lot of the world going round but...it burns my punk-arsed soul to concede to the faceless corporate bloodsuckers.

I'll just have to forgo the cheap (for me) and easy access to music that the ethernet has provided for me.

Some Royal racist is dead apparently.
2 months short of his telegram.
Some people will do anything to avoid paying postage

Pensioner TV. Isn't that Cheap-er?  ;)

I started with Marvel & DC in the same way as many: the pile of comics in the barber's when I was a kid. Lost a fair bit of interest when they were turned into dreadful TV series but was intrigued by Tony Stark showing up at the end of (the way better Edward Norton version of) The Hulk and thought I'd give the new franchise a go. I favoured Thor from an early age and was very pleased with the Chris Hemsworth incarnation. Wasn't a fan of the Iron Man comics and the Guardians of the Galaxy came too late for me, but have to say that Marvel have done a good job with re-animating those stories.

Punks and Sci-Fi: not an easy fit!  ;)

Just in case you haven't heard it  ;)

Just watched an 'update' of sorts.
https://youtu.be/_H3tkp8NH74

If you look in the 'Comments' you'll avoid looking at Graham Duff and Malcolm Boyle setting up the stage for over two hours.

Interesting that, at the end, some of the audience approach members of the band for autographs and a chat...completely ignoring that there is a famous rock/pop star in the front row. Tbf, I doubt that the audience would've recognised her (Miki Berenyi from Lush).

Nb. There is a bit of a snide remark about Tim at one point.

Please don't be shocked... ;)

Very much looking forward to this.

I went to the preview/crowd funding event for the film at eArth in Hackney in 2019. The 'Gales are a good watch live and I'm hoping against hope that their much postponed gig at The Lexington in May goes ahead as I've been waiting a over a year to make use of my ticket for it.

Surely that should be "Housebound"?!

Anyone got the organisational and IT skills we lack?
Ha! Nice one, Fred 🙂
