World Of TUTS / Tim Cross R.I.P.
« on: July 10, 2012, 12:09:02 PM »
It's with great sadness that I have to inform you that Tim Cross has died. Just six weeks ago he let me know he'd just been diagnosed with lung cancer. Unfortunately the diagnosis came late and the cancer was already spreading but Tim remained positive and the prognosis was that he could live for another couple of years. I visited him a few times since then and he remained cheerful and his usual funny, smart self, despite being weak and in a certain amount of pain. He talked about his hopes of playing one last concert with me, for you TUTS at this year's Earthbound. Sadly that wasn't to be. His health took a sudden turn for the worst last week and he passed on in a hospice yesterday evening. I'm told by his brother that it was peaceful and he was in no pain. The world is a less colourful and less musical place without him in it. I miss him.

I've just heard that the location for the NCC gig in London tonight has changed. Ryan's Bar has lost its music licence so the band have had to change venue at the last minute and will now play The Sebright Arms, 31-35 Coate Street, London, E2 9AG (nearest tube Bethnal Green.)

TV Live / EXPLORING MADNESS - it's not over yet! London gig 21.09.06
« on: September 19, 2006, 02:55:37 PM »
Another ex-member of the Explorers, drummer Dave Sinclair, is active on the gig circuit this week. Now playing guitar and fronting his own band he plays in London this Thursday...and I'll be making a guest appearance! After the last-minute cancellation of one of the bands on the bill, I'll be playing a 30 minute solo set, starting around 9.00. There will be a special TUTS reduced price guest list for this gig - anyone registering an interest under this thread on the forum by midday on Thursday will be get their names placed on the door so that they can get in for just a couple of quid. Sadly there'll be no "Exploring Madness" on sale, but the Ginglik is said to be "one of the coolest bars in London." Hope to see some of you there!

21/9 LONDON - Ginglik
1 Shepherds Bush Green.
(right opposite Shepherds Bush tube, Central line.)

TV Live / FrenzBob's 'Junction' Pub TV Gig in Bristol on 2.09.05
« on: August 16, 2005, 11:08:30 AM »
Latest Gig Information.

Just a quick mention for an upcoming gig at Frenzbob's pub...
2/9 BRISTOL - The Junction. Stokes Croft, Bristol BS1.

Not sure about the details yet, but normal pub hours, extortionate ticket price, etc.

Hi Everyone,
I'm starting this thread to post gig news to you for when Klaus is too busy to get the information quickly onto the news page, and for those of you who check straight into the forum without checking the news.
At very short notice, I've been invited to support Amen on a few of their upcoming dates, starting this Saturday:

Sat 16/7 NOTTINGHAM Rock City
Mon 18/7 LEICESTER Charlotte
Tues. 19/7 MANCHESTER - Academy
Sun. 31/7 LONDON - Astoria

It's not clear what the format of these gigs will be yet, but it's likely I'll be playing a short solo set, possibly also a song or two with Amen.

Looks like I'll be playing a short set at the Punk Aid launch party at a venue in Fulham this coming Monday, the 1st December. I've been assured that members of the public will be allowed in as well as all the usual media people...would be great to have some TUTS support if any of you can make it! I'll get details onto the site as soon as I know them myself...

Thought I'd let you know that at the last minute I've been asked to play again at CBGBs tonight, Sunday 5th October. I'll be going on soon after 8.00pm local US time. Could be that the show is available for viewing on the CBGBs website.

World Trading / TUTS exclusive
« on: August 04, 2003, 12:28:34 PM »
Word seems to have got around that I've been making radio-only promo singles of "One Million Pounds" and "Soon As I Found It I Lost It." I've a few of these singles left...they are exactly the same versions of the songs that will appear on the album in October, but if any of you TUTS just can't wait, I'm making these copies available to you. This offer will only apply for a couple of weeks and there are very limited numbers, so I'll be sending them on a first-come, first served basis, one copy per person. Price: 2.00 for the U.K., 5 Euros for the rest of Europe. (Sorry US TUTS, you'll have to wait!) Email me at if you'd like one of these promo-only singles. Anyone putting them straight on ebay will be excluded from any further offers!!
