Me and the Mrs (currently on wheels) booked tables of 4 for both Blackpool gigs, even though there are only two of us- that seems like the only way to do it. Chris Claret is joining us on the Saturday with the compulsory pre gig meet in the pub. I was going to ask if anyone fancied joining us on the Friday but now the tory cunts have placed Blackpool on 'tier 2' meaning no one is allowed to socialize with anyone outside their household. The venue is classed as covid safe but this will stop friends from  attending together l guess? We could say Chris is lodging with us and if we were to meet in the pub we could pretend we don't know him.  >:(

The new restrictions announced today have to put all indoor gigs in doubt for the next 6 months! Unacceptable to put them in place for so long 😠

Have to say I was really disappointed with Duncan Reid's new CD. The 3rd CD was really good which made up for their 1st 2 which had a couple of great songs but nothing else. The new one starts well with 3 good songs but after that all we get is weak wimpy pop. Hard to believe that such a great live band can put out something so poor. Duncan's vocals are awful, he sounds like he's auditioning for Supertramp.

And the original version was far better than the rerecorded one.

20 quid for a tea towel! A very impressive one though and I'd rather buy that than their new single.

Arturo told me that, because of the new lock down rules, the Blackpool gig may be moved outside now if the council gives permission. He expects to find out on Monday afternoon.

I was hoping for something better than this after waiting 30 + years. Some great songs but too many bland fillers.
