Heard about floodings in London! Hope everyone's okay!

Haven't been into the city since January 2020. Xa's been working from home since March 2020. So we're ok out here on the high ground.
All the places we might have gone and all the routes Xa would have taken to work have flooding or problems associated with the effects of the flooding.

London is drowning and I live by the river.... :)

Very glad to hear that you and yours are all safe and well Uli.

Three months rain in 24 hours? It's almost as if the climate is changing!

Amazon pumping out more CO2 than it's taking in and depleting our oxygen, The Moon heading for a wobble orbit that will increase flooding, America on fire, Global Pandemic....it's the End Days I tell you. :)

For a band that proudly sold themselves as anti-establishment, isn't it funny how frequently they employ the legal system?!

https://www.nme.com/news/music/sex-pistols-sue-john-lydon-over-music-licensing-stoush-2994948

As I understand it they have a legal agreement going back to the 90's where they can use or licence the tracks based on a majority vote.
If that is the case then Lydon's looking at a big financial loss for court costs.

My daughter and her husband have the Delta, sorry, Johnson Variant.

It's not pleasant.

They've both had one jab so hopefully that should help.

My Sister-In-Law is still in the care home and is unlikely to ever leave.

I won't, personally, be celebrating any kind of 'Freedom Day'.

But I did a 'Three Lions On A Shit' meme for Johnson and Michael Rosen copied it. It's going viral. So that cheered me a little.

One for Phil: Will Wales fans support England in final?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-57765063

According to many fan forums that i am on the answer is No.  Many of the "plastic supporters" (i.e. those who watch Wales on the TV, or those who have jumped on the bandwagon in the last 5 years) are, but those who have followed since the dim dark days of Gould are not.

As for me...  I am not supporting either..  I have been spat on at games at Wembley, had piss and other bodily fluids chucked over me at the San Siro in Milan.  I do though like Southgate, maybe because he is ex -Palace and I was on a quiz team with him once.

Italy will be a tough team to beat, but if Sterling heads the words of his coach (Tom Daley), then England could win it..
Can I un-cross my fingers now (feignites, feignites)...

Having seen some of the news footage from Leicester Square and other places I have to say my sympathies or with the NHS staff that have to work in A&E tonight...

Tim just posted on Facebook.

''My friends in French band "Charge 69" have just recorded an album of their favourite songs from the punk era "Nos Racines" - "Our Roots" - including a nice version of "One Chord Wonders," translated as "En 3 accords."

As you know I do not follow football or any other sport.
However, I really hope England win on Sunday.
Because there's enough gloomy faces about without adding a lot more.  ;D

Not my kind of thing but I understand they were quite popular at one time. :)

Vivien Westwood's shop in the Kings Road (Chelsea) that used to be called 'Let It Rock', then 'Seditionaries', then 'Too Fast To Live Too Young To Die' and, most famously, 'SEX' is now called 'World's End' and has a large clock outside that runs backwards.

Bet Matt Hancock wishes he'd had The Police's "Don't Stand So Close To Me" on constant repeat!

He should have told Gina Coladangelo to keep her mask on for "Every Breath You Take" too!

Quite the sting in this tale and plenty of political "Fall Out"!

"Can't Stand Losing You" and "The Bed's Too Big Without You" he told his wife, but he's left feeling "So Lonely"!

I'll stop now...

Ha.  ;D

Fulham Greyhound was at 76 Fulham Palace Road, London W6
Last time I looked it was Jumbo Express (Takeaways).

And do you mean The World's End pub and music venue at 174 Camden High Street, Camden Town?

Not at all sure about the staccato 'singing' in the verses and some of the guitar work, but I like the energy in the choruses.

Not a patch on the original and far less convincing than "Young Savage".

The album, as a whole. is excellent despite being covers and re-recordings.
