« on: January 05, 2009, 11:43:30 PM »
Still waiting for clarification but my young chums in Guns On The Roof have announced that they'll be supporting THE MEMBERS in Leicester on May 29th...!!!

I'm asked JC Carroll to confirm if it's the whole, original line~up (Nicky Tesco, Nigel Bennett, etc.)

More info if/when I get it.

RADIO 6 TONIGHT JOE STRUMMER SPECIAL
Body:  Saturday 20th December 2008
Culture Clash Radio...

Don Letts brings his eclectic music selection to 6 Music.

This week Don presents a Joe Strummer Special. Tracks include Straight To Hell, All In A Day and Midnight Jam.

Ever since I saw 'Play Misty For Me', I dreamed of being a radio DJ. But how to get around the damn playlists and corporate interference? Then I got a call. In 2007, BBC 6 Music asked if I'd like to join the team and I jumped at the chance. Contrary to popular opinion, I'm not at home cranking dub reggae 24/7. That's just in my DNA. With 'Culture Clash Radio' I hope to make some new friends and broaden people's perception of me, by playing tunes I can certify.

For the moment it's just 60 minutes of all killer, no filler sounds, that cross time, space and genres. For the most part I'm gonna let the music do the talking. So, in the mean time and in between time I'll gladly take your e-mailed thoughts and suggestions.
Enjoy the ride

World Chat / Punky Pagan Party
« on: May 08, 2008, 10:32:54 PM »
O.k.
 So I'm pagan...sue me!

I'll be running a Member's Bar at a large Witch/Pagan gathering (5,000 +) in Croydon on Saturday and me and 'the Witch' (I love her) are off there in the morning to catch up with Croydon friends and quaff large amounts of the twiggy stuff before then. So, obviously no witty posts or replies from me for a couple of days.

As I run said Member's Bar, including deciding what music gets played, I will be introducing the witches to the new TV Smith album and my personally chosen mix of the best of his solo material for around, oh let me see, 14 HOURS.

And whilst I'm doing that I'm finally getting around to reading 'Getting There'.

I think TV should play some Pagan gatherings. His rootsy, folky style would blow their little minds.  ;D

Anyone heard of 'The Briefs'.

They've got a song called 'Looking Through Gary Glitter's Eyes'.

Now I wonder where they got the idea for that. ;D
