Hey Sarah,
have you got any timescale on when this DVD might be available?
And will the footage filmed at The Hope & Anchor gig be included as well?

Gotta say, I'm SO glad I got to get to this gig. I've seen The Ruts 4 times..1978, 1979 and now..TWICE this year. And what a fantastic line~up.
A brilliant, unforgettable and, for obvious and extremely sad reasons, completely unrepeatable event.

Why isn't 'West One (Shine On Me)' given it's place as one of THE best songs of ALL time? It pisses all over everything else teh media call 'classic'.

Paul Fox. And The Ruts. I salute you!

Cheers Sarah,
Ken (Rockula).

World Chat / Re: Clash to reform without Joe ???

Bit of a late addition to this thread but I just thought I'd say, as a Clash fan, I always thought Mick Jones was underated and hidden in the shadow of Joe too much.
I, personally, would love to see the remaining members play live again whether they call themselves 'The Clash' or not.
 ''Stay Free''.

I'm a huge long term fan of 999 so here's a cheeky lift from their official website

NEW ALBUM - DEATH IN SOHO

OUT SEPTEMBER 24th

ON OVERGROUND RECORDS

999 have been working on the album since May 2006 and all songs are original Cash/Days compositions with the exception of "Last Breath" which is a Cash/Days/Labritain song. The rehearsals for the album took place in Darlington, Acton, London and finally in Soho London. We hope you enjoy the album as much as we did making it and to all the people who have asked us over the years "when's the new album coming out"? finally here it is.

Nick Cash, Guy Days, Pablo Labritain and Arturo Bassick

Seeing a mention of the Upstarts here do you know they are touring with the Vibrators in April/May (Brighton May 11th) which should be good. Pity no Mensi though!!

Hope a few are going to make a show at THE CHAMPION on 5th for the big TV night!!

Yeah, but they have Chris from 'Crashed Out' on vocals and he's excellent.

Hey! I can get to Brighton the day before Croydon. ;D

Waaa! Sarah! After talking to you yesterday and you letting me know this excellent news.....

I'll be in Ipswich and miss it. That's three strikes. Can't do Croydon, Islington OR Blackpool.

I'm just off to have a cry. :'(

Waaaah! I can't make the Rebellion Festival OR the Islington gig! I'm booked to DJ another event in Oxfordshire over the Rebellion weekend and my Maltese friends will be on tour and playing the same night as TV's in London. Buggeration! :'( :(

MySpace and the others are just tools. Tools are useful....but can also be used to bludgeon people.

It's all down to how you use the tool.

How do you use yours?

Quoting ''Another "moral" to the story may be that the measure of a person's ability, or talent, or character, or what have you is determined not so much by how they respond when things go as planned but by how they respond in the face of adversity.''

...or just buy better strings? ;)

But there's 11 tracks...how do you pick 3? :o

Ok..let me rephrase...it glided gently onto my mat. :)

3.) My Place
2.) Tomahawk Cruise
1.) Whe Who Wait

...BUT THAT'S TODAY. Ask me another day. Or don't. It's a silly question. How can you narrow it to three?

They're actually the last three I played.

Don't know where the recordings are from...but they're good and it's a fine set of CD's with some decent stuff on it. They keep finding these 'lost' recordings though.
They're only 'lost' if you've sold all your old vinyl.

Yup, Generation Y is available from Cherry Red. It plopped on my mat this morning and it's been in the car CD all day. Excellent!
I now have all the albums. TV will just have to make another one. ;D

Anyone heard of 'The Briefs'.

They've got a song called 'Looking Through Gary Glitter's Eyes'.

Now I wonder where they got the idea for that. ;D
