What’s On Netflix today spotted the mention of an Untitled David Lynch Project (Working Title: Wisteria) in issue 1222 of Production Weekly. The listing mentions that shooting is set to start in May 2021 and that some of it will take place at Calvert Studios, which is where Rancho Rosa shot parts for Twin Peaks: The Return. The new series is written by David Lynch and he will direct with Sabrina S. Sutherland as the producer.

I know that it is considered heresy in many circles, but I think "Better Call Saul" is FAR superior to it's parent show.

There. I've said it and the sky didn't fall in (but it is sleeting).

Uh, erm, I wouldn't say that. It has its own quality, but it also sometimes lives through little "quotes" (or guest appearances) of the old show...

I've been watching various Marvel/DC superhero things.
Xa has always said she didn't like those kinds of superhero/comic type things. She just didn't 'get' them. But I've been into them since about 1970.

Then she saw 'Deadpool' and 'Deadpool 2' and loved them. I had to explain what 'meta' was in terms of 'self-referential' fiction.

Then I got her to watch 'Misfits' and pointed out that it's pretty much the same as Marvel only low-budget and British and she's loving that.

Now I'm having to explain everything from the origin of Batman to what's happened to Captain America and why isn't he in 'The Falcon And The Winter Soldier'.

I'm sure some of you are as in the dark as she is.

But I'm just happy we can watch things together.

I started with Marvel & DC in the same way as many: the pile of comics in the barber's when I was a kid. Lost a fair bit of interest when they were turned into dreadful TV series but was intrigued by Tony Stark showing up at the end of (the way better Edward Norton version of) The Hulk and thought I'd give the new franchise a go. I favoured Thor from an early age and was very pleased with the Chris Hemsworth incarnation. Wasn't a fan of the Iron Man comics and the Guardians of the Galaxy came too late for me, but have to say that Marvel have done a good job with re-animating those stories.

Punks and Sci-Fi: not an easy fit!  ;)
