From 'Eddie & The Hot Rods'...

''Sad news today folks, original guitarist and founder member Dave Higgs sadly passed away this morning after losing his fight with cancer, Dave was a huge influence on many people and regarded as one of the finest rhythm players around. RIP...''

Roger Lloyd Pack's funeral today:

He, quite literally, bumped into me at the bar at the New York Dolls comeback show at Morrissey's Meltdown back in 2004.

Bye Trigger.

I spent a lot of time at the bar at both Dolls gigs at Meltdown that year. We must've passed like ships in the night, Fred.

We must have!

At the downstairs bar Jonathan Ross and David Walliams came and stood next to me and then Roger Lloyd Pack banged into me as I made my way away from it. I just can't seem to keep these celebrities from crowding me!

Anyway, we took the hint and found a quieter, smaller bar upstairs.

What a show! Poor old Arthur's last of course.

Bugger! Another good man gone. Devo were the first band I ever paid to see so they have a bit of a special place for me. They were often regarded as only a synth band, but they had some good guitar riffs in there too. Here's one of his best:

RIP Bob Crow.

One of the best Trade Union leaders in my lifetime. A tireless fighter for worker's rights. Met Mrs Slaughterboy over her claim for an RSI injury in a pub over a few beers once. Got her free legal support and got her claim settled. And a Millwall supporter to boot.

Will be sorely missed

Very sad- all their line ups have been great but he was in the best one I saw.
