Mike Mitchell, guitarist on The Kingsmen’s famous and influential version of Richard Berry's 'Louie Louie', has died aged 77.

Jim Steinman, master of kitsch & overproduction... (no I don't own many of "his" records).

I'm not quite sure, I think I had "Bat out of hell" on vinyl (cheapo) but gave it away later.
(Apart from this, there might be the odd song on a compilation, I'm not sure. Not a fan...)  8)

Les Mckeown, 65. I hated the Rollers back in the day but The Ramones were fans so they can't have been that bad.  Some of their stuff sounds great compared to the crap that's around today.

Rat Scabies was also a fan. And Nick Lowe.

In the back of my head I knew there had to be something in my collection (he produced "This Corrosion" too, I think). Not that I listen to them very often any more...  ::)

My mates The Nerves (local German band) covered "Rock'n'roll love letter" on their EP in 2002, I love that song!
