New Clash book
« on: December 20, 2016, 06:32:33 PM »
Just got this about a new Clash book. With an American author it's obviously going to be heavy on the US aspects but the Terry Chimes interview sounds interesting. Has anyone read it yet?

"The Clash FAQ: All That’s Left to Know About the Clash City Rockers is the first full-length history of the Clash that presents an American perspective of the only UK punk rock band to break big in the United States. The retelling of the early days of the Clash is abetted by an interview with original Clash drummer Terry Chimes. Tag along with author Gary Jucha as he attends the Clash’s first U.S. concerts in New York City, follows the Clash throughout England on The 16 Tons Tour of 1980, and fights his way into the sold out opening night of the Bond’s Residency in Time Square on May 28, 1981. The Clash FAQ contains details of Clash concerts unavailable elsewhere and biographies of all six members of the Clash, their sidemen and studio personnel. It also features insightful critiques of all the Clash’s albums and singles, a reassessment of the Clash, post-Mick Jones, and original photos and reproductions of hard-to-find Clash memorabilia."
