Sex Pistols (1976)
« on: April 21, 2003, 12:23:34 PM »
.  I've been asked via email for more info on the Sex Pistols CD featuring the 1976 Bollocks demo's:

The Sex Pistols CD is called 'No Future / Spunk' it is on Sanctuary Records released in 2001.

It is a copy of the Sex Pistols Demo's recorded at EMI in 1976 and it was only previously released as a vinyl bootleg called Spunk at the same time as the Queens Silver Jubille (in other words before 'Never Mind The Bollocks'. It has been remastered and the track 'Submission' apperas on the Mojo Punk CD.

I particularly like the two radically different versions of Anarchy In The UK

https://www.punknews.org/article/60822/steve-jones-of-the-sex-pistols-to-release-memoir

Steve Jones of Sex Pistols, will be releasing a memoir. It will be called Lonely Boy and was written with Ben Thompson. It's out January 10, 2017 and follows Jones before the Sex Pistols, during the band, and the decades afterwards.

Could be interesting, I think I will read it.  8)
Not only for Pistols stuff, I enjoyed some of what Jones did later, e.g. his solo albums (late 80's).

I enjoyed that thanks Ken. Nice to see so many familiar faces both on, and off, the stage.

Still think Joe Corre is on the wrong lines with his attention seeking bonfire though. If you don't want it, sell it (would it fetch 5M I wonder?) and give the money to charity. Knob!

It always strikes me how different Charlie Harper's voice is on and off stage.
