Speak for yourself!

I was a mere youth and looked up to the wisdom of your years!

Cheers for that Ken - I hadn't seen that 999 footage before (from 2.15) - I wonder if that whole gig exists somewhere?! Plus a an interesting report with some familiar faces!

I sent the link to the 999 clip to Nick- he reckons it's from The Nashville in 77.

Danny Boyle to direct new 6 part Sex Pistols TV biopic
Quote
FX has ordered Pistolc a six-episode limited series about the legendary Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones, it was announced today by Nick Grad, President, Original Programming, FX Entertainment.

Based on Jones’ 2018 memoir Lonely Boy: Tales from a Sex Pistol, the series from Academy Award®-winner Danny Boyle, who will also serve as Executive Producer and director, was created by Craig Pearce and written by Pearce and Frank Cottrell Boyce.

Steve Jones to be played by Toby Wallace, an Australian born in the U.S.A.
'Game Of Thrones/Doctor Who' actor Maisie Williams as Jordan?

But I like Danny Boyle so I'll give it a go.

He could have called it Stainspotting'.

You get it STAINS..

Oh, please yourself. :)

For a band that proudly sold themselves as anti-establishment, isn't it funny how frequently they employ the legal system?!

As I understand it they have a legal agreement going back to the 90's where they can use or licence the tracks based on a majority vote.
If that is the case then Lydon's looking at a big financial loss for court costs.

“...I chatted to Danny Boyle and went down to one filming session and met the cast. Originally there was another guy meant to play me, but he left to join Game of Thrones and [Christian Lees] took over who’s really good and a musician – he portrayed the young Jerry Lee Lewis in the Sun Records biopic series, where he actually played the keyboards. He sent me a link of him playing at the wrap party, where he’s even putting his feet on the piano like Jerry Lee did. Danny Boyle’s a cool talent, so we’ll see what happens.”

It’s split the Sex Pistols, with frontman John Lydon calling the TV series “the most disrespectful shit”, and an ongoing court case over whether the music can be used…

“I don’t want to get involved in all that!”

Glen's a bit wiser here.  8)
